Zest for Learning

Applied Learning Programme (ALP):
The focus of the ALP named C3 (competent, confident communicator) was on communication. The objective was to equip every student with the language skills to communicate confidently and effectively. Since its implementation, we have witnessed more students being more confident and competent in their oral presentations to the school population. We then did a major review in 2024 and decided to rename the ALP to Voices@PHPPS in 2025. This change signals a shift in focus. We are not just equipping the students with the essential language skills for communication, but we want them to apply these skills to have a voice to advocate for a cause.

Learning for Life Programme (LLP):
Our school’s Learning for Life Programme in Sports (LLP Sports) aims to nurture students to be passionate sportspersons and upright, contributing leaders with strength of character. The A3 Instructional Approach ensures that students acquire broad-based sports knowledge, values and skills. They then apply their learning through authentic platforms such as group work, camps, CCA, VIA, Outdoor Education and learning journeys. Students experience affirmation of their application of knowledge, values and skills through reflection, celebration of learning and positive comments from teachers and parents.
